It Took Me 4 Years To Paint Like Raphael

Raphael Painting

When I first started painting, I was full of enthusiasm and excitement. I had always been interested in art and wanted to pursue it as a hobby. However, I quickly realized that painting was not as easy as I thought it would be. It took me four long years to finally paint like Raphael.

The Beginning

Beginning Of Painting

My journey as a painter began when I was in high school. I took an art class and quickly fell in love with it. I loved how I could create something beautiful with my own hands. I started painting at home and would spend hours at a time working on my art.

At first, my paintings were simple and naive. I had no idea about the techniques, color theory, or composition. I would just paint whatever came to my mind without much thought. But I enjoyed it nonetheless, and that was all that mattered.

The Struggle

Painting Struggle

As time went on, I began to realize that my paintings were not as good as I wanted them to be. I would see other artists' work and be amazed at how realistic and beautiful their paintings were. I began to feel discouraged and thought that I would never be able to paint like that.

I started to read books on painting and watch videos on YouTube to learn more about the techniques and theories of painting. I would practice every day and try to incorporate what I had learned into my paintings.

But it seemed like no matter how much I practiced, I couldn't improve as much as I wanted to. I was frustrated and almost gave up on painting entirely. But something inside me kept pushing me to keep going.

The Turning Point

Turning Point Painting

One day, I came across a painting by Raphael. It was so beautiful and realistic that I couldn't believe it was painted by a human being. I became obsessed with Raphael's work and started to study his paintings in detail.

I read books about Raphael's life and techniques and tried to incorporate them into my own paintings. I would spend hours studying his paintings and trying to replicate them on my own canvas.

It was a long and challenging process, but slowly, I began to improve. My paintings started to look more realistic, and I was able to create depth and dimension in my work.

The End Result

After four long years of hard work and dedication, I finally painted a piece that I was proud of. It was a portrait of my grandmother, and it looked so realistic that my family thought it was a photograph.

I couldn't believe how far I had come since the beginning of my painting journey. I had started out as a naive and inexperienced painter and had transformed into an artist who could paint like Raphael.

Conclusion

Painting is not easy, and it takes time and dedication to become good at it. It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but the journey was worth it. I learned so much about painting and about myself during those four years.

If you're just starting out as a painter, don't get discouraged. Keep practicing and studying, and you'll eventually get to where you want to be. And who knows, maybe one day you'll be able to paint like Raphael too.
